Who are we?

 

Chrono Aviation was founded in Quebec City in 2012. In its early days, the airline operated a Pilatus PC-12 and employed two pilots. Chrono quickly attracted clients seeking a comfortable, efficient, and safe flying experience.

 

After a decade in business, Chrono Aviation has expanded its fleet to 12 aircraft and employs over 200 people. Chrono is a Quebec-based airline offering planes that can accommodate between 9 and 189 passengers, exclusively for charter flights. With bases in Montreal and Quebec City, Chrono continues its expansion, reinforcing its position as a leader in the charter flight industry in Quebec and Canada.

 

Role and context

 

The IT Technician acts as the main point of contact for first-level IT support and contributes to second-level technical support for Chrono Group employees. They ensure the proper functioning of equipment, participate in systems and network administration, and respond quickly to support business continuity in a critical environment. Working within a collaborative team, they demonstrate autonomy, rigour and initiative, while contributing to the continuous improvement of technology practices.

 

Key responsibilities

 

             Provide Level 1 technical support to users for workstations, software, peripherals and Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).

             Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot IT equipment (Windows workstations, peripherals, printers, monitors).

             Deploy, configure and support corporate iPads according to established procedures.

             Manage user accounts, access, passwords, groups and Microsoft 365 licences.

             Perform initial diagnostics for more complex incidents and actively collaborate with the IT team to resolve them (Level 2).

             Ensure operational cybersecurity monitoring:

-              follow up on security alerts,

-              identify suspicious behaviours or situations,

-              collaborate with the IT team on threat diagnostics.

             Apply IT security rules and propose improvements when relevant.

             Track incidents and interventions.

             Document IT interventions, procedures and best practices.

             Train and support users on internal technology tools.

             Collaborate with the central IT team during projects, updates or planned interventions.

             Perform scheduled backups and compliance checks.

             Carry out any other related tasks connected to IT operations, according to the organization’s needs.

Specific job requirements

 

             Good knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory / Entra ID environments

             Microsoft Copilot for Business, Defender, Purview — an asset

             Strong interest in cybersecurity and IT best practices

             Experience with ticketing tools and IT asset management tools

             Microsoft certifications — an asset

             Fluency in French is required. Advanced knowledge of English is also required in order to interact with English-speaking colleagues or partners in Canada or elsewhere in the world.
