Chrono Aviation was founded in Quebec City in 2012. In its early days, the airline operated a Pilatus PC-12 and employed two pilots. Chrono quickly attracted clients seeking a comfortable, efficient, and safe flying experience.
After a decade in business, Chrono Aviation has expanded its fleet to 15 aircraft and employs over 200 people. Chrono is a Quebec-based airline offering planes that can accommodate between 9 and 189 passengers, exclusively for charter flights. With bases in Montreal and Quebec City, Chrono continues its expansion, reinforcing its position as a leader in the charter flight industry in Quebec and Canada.
Role and context
The Flight Dispatcher is responsible for flight planning and operational supervision. They prepare flight packages, analyze weather and performance data, and ensure continuous monitoring of flight operations.
Key responsibilities
• Prepare flight plans in accordance with regulations and SOPs
• Analyze weather conditions and NOTAMs
• Assess aircraft performance and limitations
• Provide operational support to crews before and during flights
• Ensure flight dispatch oversight through to destination
• Respond to emergencies or operational deviations
• Document all decisions made during operations
• Collaborate with maintenance, logistics, and coordination teams
• Maintain up-to-date regulatory and technical knowledge
• Participate in training sessions and emergency simulations

Specific job requirements
• Flight Dispatcher Licence
• Experience in a control or dispatch centre (minimum 3-5 years)
• Knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and airspace rules
• Proficiency with dispatch tools (flight planning, weather, tracking software)
• Ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 environment
• Knowledge of the aircraft types operated by the company
• Strong focus on safety and operational service
• Fluency in French is required for this position. In addition, a strong command of English is also required to interact with English-speaking clients in Canada and internationally.
