Chrono Aviation was founded in Quebec City in 2012. In its early days, the airline operated a Pilatus PC-12 and employed two pilots. Chrono quickly attracted customers looking for a comfortable, efficient and safe flying experience.
After a decade in business, Chrono Aviation has increased its fleet to 15 aircraft and employs more than 280 people. Chrono is the only airline in Quebec to offer aircraft that can accommodate from 9 to 120 passengers exclusively for charter. With bases in Montreal and Quebec City, Chrono Aviation continues to expand and strengthen its leadership position in the air charter industry in Quebec and Canada.
Role and context
As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Quality and Fleet Support Specialist to join our Technical Flight Operations team. This key role is to support the PRMCS, Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) and Fleet Management with the various Maintenance Control Manual (MCM) and operational requirements.
Key responsibilities
• Managing documentation errors with suppliers and approved maintenance organisations (AMOs).
• Responsible for training maintenance teams and pilots.
• Providing technical assistance for departmental projects, including the import of new aircraft, technical compliance standards, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, etc.
• Developing and implementing operational procedures and forms for the department.
• Manage the reliability and warranty monitoring programme.
• Analysing parts repair reports for availability, inventory and costs, and coordinating with approved maintenance organisations and the shop.
• Participating in the correction of safety management system reports and the conclusions of quality assurance audits
• Carry out internal audits in accordance with the maintenance control manual and the directives of the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Assist the PRMCS in managing the requirements of the maintenance control manual
Key skills
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Efficiency and the ability to manage several tasks in a demanding environment.
• Particular attention to detail, especially in written work.
Specific job requirements
• Hold an AME M1 or M2 licence issued by Transport Canada
• A sound working knowledge of safety management systems and quality assurance programmes
• A thorough knowledge of Canadian aviation regulations and the ability to apply them effectively to the company's activities.
