Who are we?

 

Chrono Aviation was founded in Quebec City in 2012. At the beginning, the airline operated a Pilatus PC-12 and employed two pilots. Chrono quickly attracted a clientele looking for a comfortable, efficient, and safe flying experience.

 

After a decade of operations, Chrono Aviation has grown its fleet to 15 aircraft and employs over 280 employees. Chrono is the only airline in Quebec that offers aircraft capable of accommodating 9 to 120 passengers exclusively for charter.   With bases in Montreal and Quebec City, Chrono Aviation continues to expand and reinforce its position as a leader in the air charter industry in Quebec and Canada.

 

Role and context

 

The Crew Scheduler is responsible for the effective and optimal management of work schedules for flight and cabin crews. This role ensures that human resources are utilized efficiently while adhering to civil aviation regulations, collective agreements, and the operational needs of the company. The position is crucial in ensuring flights operate smoothly, minimizing delays, and maximizing customer satisfaction.

 

Key responsibilities

 

             Develop and adjust crew schedules based on operational needs and unforeseen circumstances.

             Ensure schedule compliance with current regulations, particularly concerning rest and flight times.

             Coordinate with relevant departments (operations, human resources, etc.) to anticipate and resolve staffing issues.

             Manage crew absences and replacements in case of emergencies or unexpected events.

             Communicate schedules effectively to crews and address any questions or concerns they may have.

             Utilize specialized software for crew scheduling and management.

             Analyze scheduling data to optimize human resource utilization.

             Collaborate with flight managers to ensure crews are qualified and available for each mission.

             Monitor and report on performance indicators related to crew scheduling.

             Participate in the continuous improvement of scheduling processes.

Specific job requirements

 

             Knowledge of aviation regulations related to flight and rest times is an asset

             Proficiency in crew scheduling software is an asset

             Ability to analyze data and propose optimization solutions

             Excellent oral and written communication skills

             Ability to make quick and effective decisions in emergency situations

             Proficiency in French is required for this position. Additionally, a strong command of English is •               also necessary to interact with English-speaking clients in Canada or elsewhere in the world.
