Chrono Aviation was founded in Québec in 2012. Initially, the airline operated a Pilatus PC-12 and employed two pilots. Chrono quickly attracted a clientele seeking a comfortable, efficient, and safe flight experience.

 

After a decade of operation, Chrono Aviation has expanded its fleet to 15 aircraft and employs over 280 people. Chrono is the only airline in Québec offering aircraft that can accommodate from 9 to 120 passengers exclusively for charter flights. With bases in Montréal and Québec, Chrono Aviation continues to expand and strengthen its position as a leader in the air charter industry in Québec and Canada.

 

Role and Context

 

The role of Lead, Crew Scheduler involves supervising and coordinating crew assignments to ensure the smooth functioning of flight operations. The incumbent must ensure that crew schedules comply with safety and flight time regulations while meeting the operational needs of the airline.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

             Develop and maintain crew schedules, considering operational needs and aviation regulations.

             Ensure effective communication with crews to inform them of their schedules and any changes.

             Manage crew absences and replacements in a timely manner.

             Collaborate with the operations, maintenance, and customer service departments to synchronize crew schedules.

             Supervise and train the team of flight schedulers to ensure high performance and compliance.

             Analyze scheduling data to identify potential process improvements.

             Resolve scheduling conflicts and handle unexpected issues with responsiveness and professionalism.

             Prepare regular reports on schedule status and crew performance.

             Ensure compliance with civil aviation rules and regulations regarding crew service hours.

             Participate in operational coordination meetings to provide updates on crew scheduling.

Specific Requirements for the Position

 

             3 to 5 years of previous experience in crew scheduling or a similar position in aviation.

             In-depth knowledge of crew flight and rest time regulations.

             Demonstrated ability to work in high-pressure environments.

             Ability to analyze data and generate relevant reports.

             Excellent time management and organizational skills.

             Proficiency in French is required for this position. Additionally, a strong knowledge of English is necessary to interact with English-speaking clients in Canada and worldwide.
