Who are we?
WAAS Aerospace Inc. has been in operation since 2014 and is a Transport Canada approved maintenance company. We operate from facilities located on the south shore of Montreal at Saint-Hubert Airport (CYHU) and in Quebec City at Jean-Lesage International Airport (CYQB).
We provide line and scheduled maintenance, avionics modifications and research and development services for business and wide-body aircraft. We offer 24/7 Aircraft on Ground (AOG) services to help customers meet their on-time departure obligations and minimise downtime.
Our parent company, Chrono Aviation, was founded in Quebec City in 2012. In its early days, the company operated a Pilatus PC-12 and employed two pilots. Today, the Chrono Aviation group has a fleet of 15 aircraft and a team of 280 employees.
Role and context
The Senior Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations at our Quebec City base. This includes planning and executing maintenance events, managing the team of mechanics, technicians and specialists, and ensuring compliance with airworthiness regulations to keep aircraft in optimum condition for safe and reliable operations.
Key responsibilities
• Reviewing and adjusting the short-term maintenance schedule, ensuring communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Planning, allocating and monitoring maintenance work.
• Managing schedules and the efficient use of human and material resources.
• Ensuring accurate recording of working hours and use of equipment for billing purposes.
• Determine material and parts requirements for current and future projects.
Supervising, supporting and training the aircraft maintenance team.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable safety standards, procedures and regulations.
• Ensuring that maintenance records are kept up to date in accordance with company policies.
• Maintaining equipment, tools and the working environment in optimum condition.
• Assessing and developing the skills of maintenance staff.

Specific job requirements
• Transport Canada AME M1 and M2 licences.
• Valid driving licence and Canadian passport.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as an AME with ACA.
• Availability to work outside normal office hours.
• Ability to pass physical and security checks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Excellent communication skills.
