Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionic) (YQB)

Who are we?

WAAS Aerospace Inc. has been in operation since 2014 and is a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO). We operate from facilities located on the south shore of Montreal at St. Hubert Airport (CYHU) and in Quebec City at Jean Lesage International Airport (CYQB).

We provide line and scheduled maintenance, avionics modifications and research and development services for business and large aircraft. We offer 24/7 AOG services to help customers meet their on-time departure obligations and minimize their downtime.

Our parent company, Chrono Aviation, was founded in Quebec City in 2012. At the beginning, the company operated a Pilatus PC-12 and employed two pilots. Today, Chrono Aviation Group has a fleet of 14 aircraft and a team of 280 employees.

Role and context

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Aircraft Maintenance Technician will be responsible for checking, troubleshooting and repairing all electrical, electronic, communication and navigation related aircraft components and systems on various types of aircraft.

Key responsibilities

•             Repair, calibrate, check, inspect, install, modify, overhaul or perform periodic maintenance on avionics systems (electrical and electronic) in accordance with Transport Canada requirements
•             Follow up on reported anomalies by carrying out a technical analysis and assessment of the problem (trouble shooting) and make corrections
•             Build, calibrate and maintain control boxes or panels and test benches
•             To make the avionics, electronics and electrical drawings of the various technical instructions

Specific job requirements

•             Hold a college diploma (DEC) in aircraft maintenance or a diploma or certificate whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority.
•             Hold an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) Class E licence issued by Transport Canada.
