Who are we?

WAAS Aerospace Inc. has been in operation since 2014 and is a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO). We operate from facilities located on the south shore of Montreal at St. Hubert Airport (CYHU) and in Quebec City at Jean Lesage International Airport (CYQB).

We provide line and scheduled maintenance, avionics modifications and research and development services for business and large aircraft. We offer 24/7 AOG services to help customers meet their on-time departure obligations and minimize their downtime.

Our parent company, Chrono Aviation, was founded in Quebec City in 2012. At the beginning, the company operated a Pilatus PC-12 and employed two pilots. Today, Chrono Aviation Group has a fleet of 14 aircraft and a team of 280 employees.

Role and context

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Aircraft Maintenance Technician will be responsible for checking, troubleshooting and repairing structural, mechanical and hydraulic systems in accordance with specifications, technical drawings, manuals and procedures on various aircraft types.

Key responsibilities

•             Ensure that the aircraft documentation is complete and in compliance with industry standards and regulations
•             Confirm that quarantined items are properly labelled and routed to the correct location
•             Carry out maintenance on several types of equipment and confirm that all spare parts are inspected before installation
•             Communicate with external technical stakeholders and follow up with clients on work in progress

Specific job requirements

•             Hold a college diploma (DEC) in aircraft maintenance or a diploma or certificate whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority.
•             Hold a Transport Canada M1 or M2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licence.
•             Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA) (or experience)
* 15K hiring bonus with Boeing 737-200 endorsement.  5K hiring bonus with M1 or M2 license.  Possibility of a training bond reimbursement and a potential allowance of $5K in case of relocation for the position.
